Our system is different from traditional hiring in the following ways:
We’re not a job board – our system matches your role with suitable job seekers based on the requirements and location of the job. Local, matching job seekers are invited to apply. Once they’ve applied, you can review their profiles on our platform and make contact.
We’re not an agency – We don’t get involved in your hiring process. Once you post a job ad on Jora Local, you can view applicant profiles directly. This enables you to begin contacting your applicants and retain control of your hiring process.

How do I sign up?
Simply sign up here to post your first role in under 2 minutes. Our Customer Experience Team will contact you if we have any questions. If not, your ad should go live within minutes.
What information do I need to provide during sign-up?
Tell us a few details about the job including role type, experience, availability and preferred certifications along with your business name, address and contact details to set up your account. These details help us match you with only the most suitable local applicants.
Can candidates view my phone number and email address and contact me directly?
Don’t worry, no personal information such as phone numbers or email addresses are displayed on our ads.
What if I have two or more locations? Can I sign up multiple businesses under one account?
At the moment, each business account needs a unique mobile number to sign up and can only be linked to one street address. We know this makes it difficult if you hire for multiple locations and hopefully our system will be able to support this soon. In the meantime, if you have a manager and/or business partner they can create new accounts for your other locations. Alternatively, we can update the location manually so email our team at support@joralocal.com.au if you want this done.
Can I share my account with another person in my business or workplace?
Yes you can. Your account login information can be shared with other users who can login from their own devices but only share your account with people you trust as they will access to post jobs and manage applicants. More than one user can be logged in at any time
What happens once I’ve listed a role?
You’ll get an email with a link when you have your first applicants to review. We’ll continue to add more people as they apply so check back regularly to see the latest list of applicants. The role will be active for 14 days where we’ll continue to look for new applicants for you. During this time you can make direct contact with the applicants using our chat feature in our app or with the candidate’s contact details.
How do I view applications for my role?
Jobseeker profiles will be visible only through our app or website. Applicant information is not sent to you via email or text.
What is the Matched List compared to the Others List?
Jobseeker profiles in your matched list are local applicants who meet the criteria in your job ad including experience, availability and if you have any VISA requirements. The Others list is candidate profiles that do not match all of the criteria listed in your ad but are interested in your role. You can choose whether any of them are a good enough fit, and if so you can contact them.
How do I get new applicants?

How do I close my ad?
Ads close automatically after 14 days. To close your ad before expiry please contact the Jora Local support team on support@joralocal.com.au.
How do I update my contact details or business details?
To update your details, please contact Jora Local on support@joralocal.com.au
How long can I view my applicant list after my role has expired?
Your ad is live for 14 days from the day it is posted. Applicant profiles can be viewed for an additional 14 days after an ad expires. However, any applicants you speak to via chat in our app will remain in your chat history along with any notes you’ve added.
What if I need to hire a Manager?
Currently, we do not support supervisor or management roles. If you are looking for someone who is capable of taking on more responsibility you could consider running a role requiring applicants to have 3 or more years of experience. You might find that some have already worked in management positions or have the desired experience to be able to take on that role. You can also try posting with www.jora.com.au.
I’m a recruiter/agency. Can I have an account with Jora Local?
At present, we only have limited functionality that was designed to support the hiring needs of small business owner operators. As the product evolves we may be able to begin offering a quality solution with more advanced functionality.
