How do I find jobs on Jora Local?

To register you need to create a profile with us. Once your profile is completed it will then be automatically matched to local jobs that match your experience and availability. You can apply for them with just a simple click.

Can I upload a resume to my profile?

No need to. Fill in your profile once and this acts as a digital resume so you can apply to jobs on Jora Local with one click. To tell employers more about yourself, fill in the ‘Hire me because’ section on your profile.

I didn’t hear back from an employer, what is going on?

We know this is an issue for you and can be really frustrating! Great news, you can sign in to check the status of every single one of your applications on Jora Local by visiting the applications tab on your account.

I have received an email that an Employer has sent me a chat message. Where can I view this?

You need the app to see and respond to chats. Please download the Jora Local app from the iTunes or Google Play store. Chat will be available on desktop soon, so stay tuned!

I am having trouble downloading the Jora Local app. What can I do?

This sometimes happens if your Apple iTunes or Google Play Store is set to a country other than Australia. Please check your Apple iTunes/Google Play Store settings to ensure it is set to Australia.

Why is chat only available in the Jora Local app?

Chat is the best way to speak with employers, as they are super busy and often difficult to get hold of on the phone. We’ve built chat right into our mobile app to make sure you can chat anytime, anywhere. Download it today from the iTunes or Google Play store! We’re also looking to support chat on our website soon, so keep an eye out!

I have a new email and/or a new phone number. How do I update this information on my profile?

Sign in with the mobile number you used to register with us. Then, click on edit next to your name and you will be able to update your contact details.

I have moved. How can I be matched with jobs in my new area?

On your profile click edit next to your current suburb. Enter in your new location and save. Your old matches will stay in the list until you dismiss them. Jobs that match your new location will be added as they are posted.

Why can’t I sign in to Jora Local?

This could be due to attempting to sign in with a different mobile number than what was registered. Try signing in with your previous phone number and then updating the number on your profile to your current one. If you’re still having trouble signing in, please contact us via support@joralocal.com.au.

I can’t remember my 4 digit pin to sign in. How do I reset this?

Click on reset your pin on the sign in page and enter the email address or mobile number you registered with. A pin reset link will be emailed to you.

I found a job. How do I deactivate my account?

Congratulations! Please click on Deactivate profile under settings if you no longer wish to receive job matches. You can reactivate your account later with a simple click if you start looking for work again.
